A family-friendly scavenger hunt adventure merges movie magic with wildlife education in honor of the Maryland Zoo’s 150th Anniversary.
Baltimore, MD — [November 19 2025] — Warehouse Cinemas Rotunda is teaming up with the Maryland Zoo to bring families an immersive, fun-filled adventure in celebration of Disney’s upcoming film ‘Zootopia 2’ and the Maryland Zoo’s 150th Anniversary. From November 27 through December 15, guests can embark on “Operation: Zoo Patrol,” a themed scavenger hunt that connects the movie characters to their real-life wildlife counterparts.
Designed to spark curiosity and movie-going excitement, the scavenger hunt leads guests through the zoo using character-inspired clues. Families will track down animals that mirror their favorite Zootopia personalities (like rabbit Judy Hopps and fox Nick Wilde) while learning more about their natural behaviors and habitats.
"“This type of partnership allows us to bring movie magic beyond the screen,” said Melanie Carter, Customer Service Manager at Warehouse Cinemas Rotunda. “We pride ourselves on getting out into the community as much as possible. For Zootopia 2, what better way to do that than to partner with the [Maryland] Zoo?”
Upon arrival, zoo guests will receive directions that feature a QR code that unlocks the scavenger hunt form on their mobile device. After locating each highlighted animal, participants mark their answers on the form and submit it digitally for a chance to win a Warehouse Cinemas Golden Ticket, giving one lucky winner free movies, popcorn and drinks for a whole year. Attendees are also encouraged to snap selfies at designated locations.
“Operation: Zoo Patrol” reinforces the cinema’s commitment to community engagement and experiential filmmaking in fun, unexpected ways. “Step out of Zootopia and hop over to the Maryland Zoo to meet the real animal species that inspired the animated characters in the movie,” said Zoo President & CEO, Kirby Fowler.
See Disney’s ‘Zootopia 2’ in theaters beginning November 26, 2025.

before its formal founding, when the Park Superintendent first began caring for a small collection
of animals donated by City residents. The Zoo’s mission is to engage people in the wonders of
the living world through personal encounters with animals, fostering empathy and lifelong
support for conservation of wildlife and wild places.
